Mystic Drawbridge Charm

Mystic Drawbridge was built in 1920 in a seafaring town that was established in the mid 1700's and opens about 2,200 times a year.  As the drawbridge bell begins to ring and the road gates drop, it is a good bet a crowd of tourist will form.  It is powered by a pair of 1400 pound electric motors.  The massive 85 foot span begins to tilt skyward, all counter-weighted by 460 tons of concrete
